Barcelona Via Ferrata - Canal de les Dames

The only Via Ferrata in Montserrat.

Let us guide you to the only Via Ferrata in Montserrat. We call this itinerary a Via Ferrata because it reminds us of this kind of routes. Still, it is not a standard Via Ferrata: not all the way has cable, lifeline, or ladders, although the equipment is modern.
The Canal de Les Dames is a challenging option only affordable for those adventurers in good physical shape, used to practice some sport at least four days per week, especially the upper part of the body.

  • My wife and I thoroughly recommended this company. We joined Francesc, one of the partners, on the Via Ferrata Montserrat. We found Francesco to be personable, safety conscious and very knowledgeable. Our trip went very smoothly re planning and meeting. The climb itself was spectacular, with Francesco assisting us up the more challenging parts, it was still a workout (our first ever climb). The views and vista were stunningly beautiful. Nothing but good things to say. Do ensure you have sturdy hiking / mountain shoes / boots, trainers / sneakers are not really up to it.

  • Hired Fransesc for the Via Ferrata Las Damas. Mix of casual climbers and people who have never been on rock before. Fransesc was patient, capable and engaged. The Via Ferrata was a blast. Great climb. Definitely something different to do outside Barcelona.

  • My two kids and I took the les Dames via ferrata excursion with guide Francesc and had a great time. Via ferrata refers to climbing up a mountain using iron rungs, bars, and cables that are bolted to the rock. You wear a climbing harness with dual lanyards for safety. We found it to be just the right combination of fun and challenging physicality. Francesc is a terrific guide who knows the routes inside and out and places the proper emphasis on safety. He is able to assist climbers if/when needed to make sure everyone has a good time. I would strongly recommend Francesc and his company as the first choice in outdoor adventuring for via ferrata or other activities in the Montserrat area.

  • My son (13) and I took a three hours Ferrata trip. We had an excellent experience!!! It was the exactly timeout that we wanted to take from the hustle of Barcelona Francesc, our guide, was super professional, knowledgeable, kind and very friendly. The ferrata was challenging and quite extreme - exactly the right level for us!
